Lippert is the world’s largest and most comprehensive supplier to the recreational vehicle industry, manufacturing innovative caravan, motorcaravan and campervan components that enhance the mobile lifestyle.
Some of our products for the European market include steps, doors, windows, roof vents, water tanks, table legs, beds, bike carriers, TV brackets and electronics, as well as popups, slide-outs and other space-on-demand solutions.
Lippert began selling different components into the European Caravanning Industry in the early 2010’s. During this time, we struck up a partnership with Project 2000 SRL, an Italian manufacturer of bed lifts, TV brackets, table mechanisms and entrance steps. We became Project 2000’s exclusive distributor for some of these components in North America. Many North American OEMs had become interested in using European components for some of their motorhome applications, like bed lifts and steps, due to their space-saving and sleek designs.
This relationship continued until 2016 when Lippert acquired Project 2000 SRL and officially made Florence their European headquarters. Since then, Lippert has made several strategic acquisitions in Europe, notably Metallarte and RV Doors, an Italian door manufacturer, ST LA, an Italian bed lift and table mechanism manufacturer, Lavet, a window blind and shade manufacturer, Femto, an engineering firm serving many different industries, and Polyplastic, a Caravanning Industry leader in acrylic window systems located in The Netherlands. Lippert also acquired Schaudt, an electric control and energy management company in Germany.
Before long, all of these companies became “Lippert,” who is now one of the leading suppliers of caravanning components in the industry.
Today, the majority of Lippert’s European components are made in the Tuscany region of Italy. Our headquarters is in San Casciano, Florence, Italy, and we have facilities throughout Italy, The Netherlands and Germany.
